I have been fortunate enough to have had a fellow teacher-friend give me some of her maternity clothes to use! This Target top, ya'll know I love target, is one of the pieces she gave me. I am loving anything floral for fall! I've said this before but it's been so difficult to find affordable maternity clothes. Here are a few websites that I have found that are more affordable than others!

Some clothes that are loose and flowy, are easier to wear while being pregnant. Sometimes they still don't quite fit the bump! I have also had a lot of events to dress for and although I have a few favorite pieces...I don't want to keep wearing the same things over and over again! Where did you find some of your favorite maternity outfits?

Black T-Shirt Dress: Tilly's I Kimono: Target I  Blanket Scarf: The Trunk I
Plaid Button Down: F21
Since I 've been pregnant, I have loved them even more! Maternity clothes have been a little difficult to find. I decided the most affordable thing to do, is mix other items with my black t-shirt dress for 3 different looks!
1. I now know why they call this a blanket scarf...I could literally set up a picnic on it, it's so large! BUT I love it! It's so cozy. It's a simple statement and the perfect way to transition into fall!
2. This Long kimono was a great find at Target! It can easily change an outfit  from day to night.
3. The last look is so trendy! Plaid is the must-have print this fall. Layer it over your t-shirt dress or tie it around your waist for some hip-hugging definition!

Who doesn't love a wonderful white dress? This beauty is from Grace Cooper Boutique along with a few more shots taken from our Folsom photo shoot! This dress is perfect for a bride or just because it's so fabulous! I really love this silhouette too! I also think these new Stella & Dot earrings from the new spring line are pretty amazing. Get this, they can be worn multiple ways! {genius} Where else would you wear this wonderful white number?

This dress is so comfortable! My mom and I were in Gulfport one weekend for a horse show, when I realized I had no "regular" clothes to wear. So this called for shopping! Any excuse is a good excuse right? I honestly have not been to Old Navy in a long time but they had some of the cutest casual dresses. While we were there, I found this shirt dress that is so comfortable! I literally wear it all the time! I'm so upset I can't find this exact one online...but I have listed similar dresses above! This is the perfect outfit that can be worn to church, lunch, work, or just to run errands.
Its a throw it on & go kind of dress!

1. Wear it with flats & a fedora for a casual look.
2. Wear a blazer, dressy wedges, and a statement necklace for a dinner date with your best girlfriends!
3. Wear them separate {oh yes} SEPARATE! Top with jeans, bottoms with a bright floral tank...the possibilities are endless!
My sweet, beautiful friend Angie April {wearing Apricot Lane} and owner of Grace Cooper Boutique and I teamed up to talk fashion and take some pics. After getting lost, occasional honks, and curious neighbors, we had some fun stories to go along with our photos!
tip: Take as many pictures with your friends as possible! :)

"I need the sea because it teaches me."
The sea taught me things alright...I need to visit it more often!! :) This past weekend Adam and I went to Perdido Key. We had such a relaxing vacation. We also visited The Gulf, one of my favorite restaurants on the water. They have the cutest decorations and a precious gift shop. I was totally a tourist taking so many pictures but I couldn't help it! Besides having yummy food, they have the best blackberry mojitos! If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Make sure to get a drink, relax on the comfy couches, and watch the sunset! Okay...I am ready to go back!

Happy Easter! I am channeling my inner Joanna Gaines and Jillian Harris today!
I love fresh flowers in the house and I try to always get them when I go to the grocery store. It makes grocery shopping a [tiny] bit more enjoyable right?! I also just listed details on my blog about our dining room, so I thought it would be fun to have a little Southern Living [wanna-be] photo shoot there. I chose these beautiful lilies in honor of Easter Sunday, plus they smell incredible. I also enjoy picking fresh flowers from our yard which is something Joanna Gaines, from Fixer Upper, always incorporates in her houses! On her blog, she mentions specific ways to make your lunch and your table feel not so ordinary! I have been playing around more with colors when putting my accessories with my outfits. I really love the color combination of the yellow jeweled bib against this teal lace dress! Any statement necklace [in any color] would work here!
Tip: Choose two colors you really love and put them together to create a great color combination!

Hold your horses, it's Jazz Fest time!
This top was a must have as soon as I saw it! Graphic t-shirts are so popular right now. This top is perfect with shorts or Jeans! You're free to wear whatever you want to Jazz Fest, as long as your comfortable! For those that have never been...[that was me not too long ago] the flags are set up by your group, in a designated area. If you have members of your group leave or go get food like [my personal favorite] a Cochon de Lait Poboy, they can easily find your area because of where your flag is! People get very creative when displaying their flags too!
Tip: Bring a blanket, sit back and enjoy the show!
Cannonball Adderley - "Hipness is not a state of mind, it's a fact of life."

Festival season is here! I love this go-to baby doll dress! It's comfortable and can be worn anywhere. The one I am wearing is from Forever 21 but I listed some similar ones above.  I put these gladiator sandals with it because I think their fitting for any festival! I don't have any tall gladiator shoes [yet] because I can't decide which ones I would wear more! Which ones do you like best?

I have to share a funny story about these photos! My sweet husband is the one who takes all my pictures. We were driving down the road, on our way to dinner and I see this field of tall [gladiator-like] grass. I'm like, "let's pull over and take pictures there" [because that's totally normal right]!? Assuming he is just as excited and inspired as me....we pull over and he takes the picture as fast as possible and runs back to the car saying "good, I don't think anyone saw us!" So now every time we pass a field he asks jokingly, "want to stop and take pictures?" [insert blush face]

Welcome to Austin! Adam and I were able to make a quick trip to Austin last year,  so when I heard we were headed there for my dear friend's bachelorette party, I was super excited! If you are looking for a quick trip, Austin is the happening place! Besides having so much fun, we really had a chance to see a lot of great places! We were able to walk around downtown & visit many of the adorable, eclectic shops on South Congress Street! We went paddling boarding (well I kind of did) on Town Lake. After burning off a lot of calories, we rewarded ourselves with some delicious BBQ from Terry Black's! We ate dinner, went sight seeing, and visited an amazing couple of wineries. I had no idea there where wineries in Austin! It was the perfect get away!

Black & white was a theme for me that weekend! It has been a little challenging finding clothes that I like or that "fit" my growing baby bump! The black & white striped maternity dress has been one of my favorites! It's very comfortable, It is very figure flattering, & I can wear it through fall with a suede or blue jean jacket! The majority of the clothes I wore, were items that were a little loose and I can easily wear during and after my pregnancy!
